Approve the price. Then the money moves.
Kurukoo holds money until you confirm the work. This guide explains the four moments that matter and the two windows for a refund.

Ask, approve, prove, pay.
First you ask. Kurukoo works out the plan and the price. Then you approve the exact amount — nothing moves before that. When the provider does the work, you confirm it and the money is released. If you do not confirm, the job sits where it is; it does not quietly complete.
The price you approve is the price you pay. A provider who asks for more after the work starts needs a new approval, not a surprise.
Two windows, not one.
Before the work is fulfilled, you can cancel and get your money back within 7 days. After the work is completed, you have 48 hours to open a dispute if it was not done as agreed. The money stays held while the dispute is reviewed.
Once you confirm the work and the money is released, it cannot be refunded. That is why the confirmation step is yours, and why it is worth checking the work first.
Bank-transfer refunds normally land within 3 business days. Card refunds follow the card provider's timeline.
No side payments.
If someone asks for any of these, report it in the request or at hello@kurukoo.ng. A message that asks is not from Kurukoo.
- Never send money to a personal account to 'release' a job.
- Never share your card PIN, OTP, bank password or handoff code.
- Never pay a clearance fee to unlock a payout or speed up a refund.
- Never move the conversation off Kurukoo before the job is confirmed.
