Be decent. Be real. Be fair.
Kurukoo works because people treat each other fairly. These are the ground rules for both sides.
Say what you mean.
- Describe the job accurately, including anything that affects safety or price.
- Be there, or tell the provider before they travel.
- Pay as agreed and confirm the work when it is done.
- Rate the work, not the person's mood, accent, tribe or religion.
- Keep the conversation on Kurukoo, and do not ask for a provider's private number.
Quote it honestly.
- Accept only work you can do, and show up when you say you will.
- Quote the real price, including materials, before the work starts.
- Respect the home, the belongings and the privacy of the customer.
- Take no photos or videos without permission.
- Do not ask for a PIN, OTP or bank password, or request a payment route different from the one shown in the offer.
No harm, no hate, no games.
- No harassment, threats, hate speech or discrimination.
- No fraud, fake reviews, fake jobs or impersonation.
- No illegal work, weapons, drugs or stolen goods.
- No sharing someone's private data without permission.
- No using Kurukoo as an emergency service. Call the emergency service directly.
Every person, not every job.
Kurukoo serves people of every tribe, faith, gender, age and ability. A provider may decline a job that is unsafe, outside their trade or beyond their capacity. They may not decline a person because of who they are.
Dispute it, do not punish it.
If work goes wrong, open a dispute inside the window and let the process decide. Do not turn a bad job into a bad rating war, a report of everything, or a public call-out. Two people who disagree about a job both still have the same duties above.
Switching sides is fine. Many providers are also customers on Kurukoo. The rules are the same whichever side of a job you stand on.
A warning, then the door.
We may warn, suspend or close an account. Where safety is at risk, we act first and explain after. Any payment or dispute record is handled according to its route and the applicable policy. If you think we got it wrong, email hello@kurukoo.ng and a person will review it.
